Visa interview appointment action if form I-539 is filed

Hi,

I have a question regarding the change of visa status from H4 to F1.

My semester starts in August, however, the earlies visa appointment is available for the month of October. So, I took one appointment just in case. Later, I filed for I-539  because travel doesn't seem to be a possibility. 

Now, do I need to cancel my visa appointment as I have applied for COS within the US, or I can keep it?
