Gokul00
Hi, I'm currently in India and I have an approved I-140. My employer is planning to apply H1B Out Of Cap petition in couple of weeks as the documentation is in the final stages. Due to recent travel ban to US till end of this year, will USCIS stop accepting new H1B-OOC/H1B petitions? If the above is true, what would be status of the applications already filed with USCIS? JoeF
Petition and visa are two different things. The current EO only affects visas. Quote Link to comment
cyberlord
Not much chance to return to US because of the executive order suspending h1b visas Quote Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
1) As per EO on June 22, if you are out of USA no more H1B processing and also no more H1B visa stamping. 2) I feel the petition filed before EO on June 22 they will be processed. Quote Link to comment
User099
I think they will still accept and process the I129 petition for people who are out of the country. But you can't travel till the ban is lifted. Quote Link to comment
