H1B status

Hi,

I got my initial H1b approved last year for 3 months i.e. till Dec 2019. I moved to a new client and filled my extension and amendment in October 30th 2019. 

Case Details:

Service Center: Califonia 

Received RFE : Feb 12th 2020

Responded: May 11th 2020.

I am currently using my 240 day period rule which is till August 27th, 2020.

My questions: 

1) How are 240 days calculated? Is it form the date of petition filed or date of I94 expiry expiration.

2) Can I stay in US after I complete my 240 days rule and stop working if the petition is pending with USCIS or should I leave the country immediately after 240 days.

3) Would staying in US affect when I go for visa stamping?

4) Suggestions on converting the case to Premium processing considering being Califonia service center

Are there any other options. Please let me know

1. I feel last date of working or last date of old petition or i94 expiry date which ever comes first will be used.

2, Stop working and just stay in USA,

3. Nope.

4. I feel new PP is opened. Convert to PP.
