jk_4589
Hi, I am an H1b holder with approved 797 until 2023 ( 1st approved in 2014 , got 1 extension and 1 transfer alread , I have I 140 ) which is not stamped in my passport. I came to India to attend my family on early September 2019. I had to quit my job by end of September as my employer was not able to extend my leave and I needed to stay with my family longer. On March 2020 I got an offer from Amazon at seattle and my H1b is filed on June 1st 2020. My attorneys are telling it might take more time to receive the receipt by mail as this is a regular application and can only upgrade to premium after the receipt number is received via email. my questions : 1. should have the attorney waited till 22nd june and had apply my application in premium ? 2. my center is neberaska , how is the timeline looking ? 3. if at all my application is approved can i get it drop box stamped from india (chennai ) ? is the consulate functioning ? 4. can i travel to usa with my 3 yr old kid ( US citizen) in near future ? kindly help me with the answers for the above questions . Thankyou in advance. Quote Link to comment
User099
1. You can go back in time, so since its already filed just wait for the receipt and apply PP when you get the receipt notice. 2. Check USCIS processing times on their website, it should be close enough. 3. Consulates are closed currently. Quote Link to comment

User099
USCIS usually sends the notice in 1-3 weeks, if you don't reveice it even after 30 days your employer or attorney should reachout to them for an update. Quote Link to comment
