H1b Amendment cum extension and 240 days rule with valid I-94 and approved petition

Hi,

Can any one give me the suggestion on my situation:

1. Previous H1b petition approved and given validity up to October 9th 2020 and petition contains the I-94 valid up to October 19th 2020.
2. Passport renewed.
3. H1b Amendment cum extension applied in regular mode with new passport (for the same employer).
4. the petition is still pending with USCIS and passed 240 days also.

am I not authorized to work after 240 days? Even my previous approved H1b petition and I-94 is valid for next 4 months.

240 days is after the I94 expiry and in your case that doesn't apply as you have filed for an amendment + extension.

I may be wrong but yes since it is amendment and extension for same employer you cannot work after 240 days.
