H1 transfer to new employer (H4 reapply ??)

Hi All,

I am currently on H1B valid till 2022, my wife is on H4(dependent) valid till 2022. 

I recently got a full time offer,  if i  transfer H1 to fulltime, do we need to file H4 application again ??

Can my old employer have power to cancel H4 visa??

i read in forums , that we don't need to reapply for H4 because she has valid i94 and H4 is not tied to employer ,Is this true?? 

Please share your opinions or advises , if we dont reapply H4, will there be any problems if we go to india stamping ??

The H4 is not dependent on the employer. No need to file an H4 again. The old employer also has no power over the H4. It only depends on your H1.

Just make sure to remember to file a new H4 before the current one expires.

You don't need to apply for H4 again till 2022 if you are maintaining a valid H1. But its good to apply it with the new H1 to keep H1 and H4 expiry dates in sync. If you forget to apply for H4 in 2022 then she will be out of status.
