I-94 based on old I-797A.

Hello experts, while I looked for similar issues, there were multiple outcomes.  The results were changing based on the location and year. Please suggest the best option for me during this time.

Old I-797 A I-94 expiry date: 01/31/2021 [January 2021]

Changed roles in the company and applied amendment. 

New  I-797 A I-94 expiry date: 12/03/2021[December 2021]

While I travelled to home country and got back during October 2019, my POE admission I-94 reflects January 2021 date

You applied for amendment and got approval, then you traveled and came back. Got a new I94 at POE. 

If so, your I94 at the POE will take effect. You will have to plan for getting a new I94 by Jan 2021.

Thanks USER099. I know the latest I94 with lower validity date applies. 

Wondering if there is a way to get the I-797 longer I94 date without applying for an extension sooner.
