achobisa Posted May 5, 2020 Report Share Posted May 5, 2020 I got laid off on Feb 21st and my H1B grace period ended on April 21st. Due to the travel ban amid COVID-19 I applied for COS from H1B to B2 on April 11th and received receipt number. Currently, my b2 status is pending. If a travel ban is lifted before B2 is approved, do I need to leave the US, or I can stay for the b2 validity period (i.e. 6 months) and look for a new job/employer? Quote Link to comment
