Siddharth M
I have one question regarding civil marriage ceremony. I'm in TX, and I and my fiance want to get our marriage license signed so that we can start with our marriage based GC application. We got our wedding license from a TX county office, but because of covid no courts are currently performing civil marriage services. But we do know a Christian priest who is legally authorized to sign on marriage licenses. My question is can we get a signature of a religious priest on the license? My only concern is would USCIS consider this as a religious wedding given a religious priest signed it or just a civil marriage, as we won't be performing any religious ceremony?
