Course Registration

Hello,

             My F1 starts on May  5th and I was wondering if it is mandatory for me to register for Summer semester or can I skip summer semester and register for classes in Fall semester.

Detailed situation:

1. Joined school in Jan 2020 on H4 and applied for F1. Registered for class ( 12 credits) in Winter/Spring semester and completed it from Jan '20 to Aptil '20.

2. F1 is approved by March 15th and the start date of F1 is May 5th.

3. I am planning not to take any classes in Summer semester and start taking classes from Fall semester straightway.

Question 1: Can I legally do so ?

Question 2 : By doing do, will I violating the conditions of F1.
