H1B Extension Receipt

I have been working in New Jersey for a big financial services firm since 15 years. I am from India and my employer's attorney recently sent my H1B for an extension. The extension paperwork reached Nebraska Service center on 4/10/2020 and we have still not received a receipt.

H1B was filed in regular processing since there is no premium processing availability right now.

Are others facing delays in getting receipts too? 

Any advise will be appreciated.

Many people are seeing the same thing with delay in receipt notices. If you just took time to read other recent threads you should have known.

My H1B transfer petition was filed on 4/17/20 in Texas Processing Service Center and received the Receipt Number on 4/24/20.

There has been an unsual faster H1 approval's being issued by USCIS. Filed for H1/H4 together. Received H1 approval within 3 weeks without premium processing from Texas service center. This seems to be happening across Vermont/Nebraska servicing center's too. Please check in ******** for reference. Hopefully y'all get approved soon as well. Best wishes

Hi @Arina  This is about my H1B extension with same employer, same client and same project. This may help.  The below are the details about my H1B extension petition. 

USCIS Received my H1B Exension application: 04/22/2020
Issued Receipt Notice: 04/23/2020
Received the Receipt Notice (soft copy) from my employer: 04/28/2020
Case was Approved on: 05/05/2020
Received the soft copy of Approved H1B I-797:  05/07/2020.
Received the physical copy in USPS mail to my physical address : 05/18/2020

Things vary from case to case. But I heard from my employer that he got approval in 2 weeks of time for few employees in our company. All the filings were done with Nebraska Service Center.  Hope this helps.  Good luck and all the best.
