generaluser
Hi, Would be great if some one can reply for below question. My employer has branches in USA and in Canada. I was in USA when my I140 was applied. It got approved after I moved to Canada. While moving from US, I became a Canada associate(employee of Canada receiving pay in canadian currency) As I was a Canada associate(not a USA ) for the entire 180 days post I140 approval, Can I use the I140 with future employer ? Is it mandatory that I should be a US associate for 180 days post its approval? Reason I ask is immigration specialist in my company is saying that I have to be a employee of a US entity for the entire 180 days post its approval in order to use I140 with future employer. Your reply would help me to take a informed decision in my Career. Thank you !! Quote Link to comment
User099
You can use the I140 if its approved for more than 6 months and you need not be employer by that employer. Yes, you can use your I140 with future employer. Quote Link to comment
