Kumar rs
I was in USA till May 2019. I still had 2 years left on my H1B. I quit my job in the USA while I was in USA and returned to India in May 2019. It was my understanding that the remaining years on my H1B are still valid even if I am in India and I can return anytime to USA if an employer was ready to sponsor me. I recently checked my H1B status and I found that my H1B was revoked. Could someone explain who revoked this?Does this mean I cant use this H1B again? Does having a revoked H1B create a bad impression about me? Quote Link to comment
JoeF
The employer was required by law to inform USCIS that you no longer work there. That resulted in revocation of the employer's H1 petition. It has no effect on you nor on your ability to use the remaining 2 years cap-exempt. Quote Link to comment
adshah84
You can get remaining of 2 years. Quote Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
As per law, when employee is not working for an employer, the employer must let USCIS know and revoke the approved H1B. Quote Link to comment
cyberlord
It is normal for companies to withdraw their petition that results in revocation. Nothing to worry, you ate covered and eligible for cap exempt filing. Good luck! Quote Link to comment
User099
Your Old H1 was revokes as you quit the job, this is normal. Any new employer can file for a new H1 to hire you back and you can use that to travel back. You don't need to go thought the lottery to file for a new H1. Quote Link to comment
