Mithlesh
Hi, I am into a situation where my H1B Max out date is 10th May 2020 and I-140 is not filed with USCIS. Attorney has filed extension to recapture pending one month on visa but that is also went in RFE. In the current COVID-19 situation Indian has banned the flights from United states until 15th April and which may be extended in future too. Could you please advise if i can switch to B2 Visa and remain in United states for few months after 10th May 2020. If yes then can you please advise me how i can proceed with B2 filing. If B2 is not option then what will happen if flights to India are suspended and i cross the H1B Max out date. Quote Link to comment
Attorney_15
If someone in H1B status cannot leave the United States, they can file an I539 to change status to B2 because of COVID19. Inquiries about hiring Murthy Law Firm for such work can be found at https://www.murthy.com/consultations/. Quote Link to comment
i140ques
@Mithlesh did you file your B2 and still staying in US? Do we need attorney help for B2 filing or can we do it ourselves? Quote Link to comment
