sunny17
Hi, my mom came to US on B2 visa in Nov-2019 and her I-94 expires end of Apr-2020. Her Indian passport is expiring in May-2020. Plan is to go back by 25-Apr-2020 but may need to extend her stay in US due to India/flights travel restrictions situation. Please advise if her Indian passport can be renewed here in US (SF consulate) and to apply for I-94 extension? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
User099
I think you should be able to apply for a new passport for you mom at SF. You are really short on time, so doing it in tatkal might be best. Check with the consulate ASAP. Quote Link to comment
MurthyIndia_Lawyer
Hello, Please note that Indian Passports can be renewed in the U.S. through the CKGS website online. Please check with the Consulate as soon as possible on the same. It is important that the request for Extension of Status is filed with the USCIS before the expiry of your mother’s I-94.
