Akki03
My parents are here in US on B1/B2 visitor visa and their I-94 expires on June 5th. With the current Covid Situation, I feel it's risky to send older parents back to India. I would like to know if I can apply for extension of stay based on this situation? USCIS will consider this kind of pandemic situation in to account for extension? If I can apply extension how soon I should do and how long I can extend ( can do 6 months)? Please help me with this. Appreciate your time and help. Quote Link to comment
Uday Kumar Chauhan
I am in the same situation. Yes we can apply for the extension but I am still gathering information about how to apply for it. Quote Link to comment
User099
You need to file an I539 form to extend the stay, you can ask for 6 months. But you should plan on leaving once things are back to normal and don't wait. USCIS might reject the stay if things are back to normal by the time the petition is up for adjudication. MKM1820
I am looking for the same information for my mom. I did see that I-539 form is available to apply online. If anyone has any guidance on when to apply and if online application will be considered at this time, it will be very helpful. Thank you! Quote Link to comment
