H1B to H4 to H1B Transfer

Hi,

 

I'm currently on H-1B (Valid till Sep 2022) with my employer A and I'm working on a client project with company B. Client project end date is April 30th, 2020. I'm looking to file for H4 and H4-EAD now (COS). I hope to get H4 receipt in a week. But, If I find a new client project with a company C (say for example in July 2020), can I withdraw my H4 application and start working again with my employer A whom I have my H1B.

 

Note: There won't be any payroll running by my employer A after my project end date on April 30th till I find a client project again. Please let me know your thoughts.

Why do you want to go back to H1 if you have the option of EAD? Doesn't make sense to me. 

Your employer will have to file a new petition if you want to go back to him after the gap in employment.
