Sunrise7
Hi, I had a DUI arrest which was dismissed. Another misdemeanour which I plead guilty (Completed driver improvement program and community service) and the case was disposed as per the court documents. Will this cause an issue with stamping or I-140 ? Thanks! Edited March 11, 2020 by Sunrise7 Quote Link to comment
User099
You will have to take all the paperwork about the case to visa interview and answers questions on it. No one can tell you if it will be an issue for stamping or not without looking at the details. You have to check with an attorney to see if it will be an issue. Quote Link to comment
natan111
These are not infractions. They are crimes. Even dismissed cases can be considered convictions by USCIS, depending on the circumstances. If alcohol was involved in the misd. case you'll need to go through the medical examination before the stamping. Other than that you should be fine with the stamping and the I-140 should not be affected. Good luck. Quote Link to comment
