Yousuf
I finished by MBA on a F1 visa (expires on Apr 19, 2022) and now I am working on a F1-OPT (expires on Jul 23, 2020). I got accepted into the PhD program (starts in Aug 26, 2020) in the same school with funding and tuition waiver. So, I am planning to go back to school. How can I do that without leaving USA? Hence, I have the following questions - Do I need to get a new F1-visa? Or, do I need a COS only? Can I apply for the new F1-visa or COS from within USA? Where and how should I apply for that? What is the best path that I should follow? Thank you in advance. Quote Link to comment
JoeF
The OPT is part of the F1, so you are still on F1. You just need the new I-20. Quote Link to comment
User099
You are right now on F1 and will be staying in F1. No question of a COS comes into picture. After Apr 2022, you will just need a new Visa if you plan on traveling out and want to come back. Quote Link to comment
