akil
Hello GuysI had applied for my STEM OPT Extension which was expiring on Feb 4 where as i sent my application along with the documents in Jan 17thBut USCIS send back my application saying "case was rejected because it was improperly filed i-765" on Feb 6thI seem to have made a mistake in the application ( forgot to check the "Reason for applying" Checkbox)Now i have resubmitted my application with the help of an attorney who drafted a letter saying "it was a technical error and its extreme circumstance that i could not correct my application and resubmit on the time as i received my package later than my OPT end data" what are my chances ? What can be my back up plan ? My attorney said it is 50-50 but i am considering to register for a new course and transfer my SEVIS to stay on status irrespective of the STEM extension application . if i want to register and transfer for new course how long will i have to make that SEVIS transition ? can i transfer my SEVIS if my STEM extension application is denied ? what will be the best course of action ? Thanks in advance Quote Link to comment
