I got married to a American citizen couple of months back and filed for adjustment of stauts (GC) last month and have not yet received any receipt. Now it is time for me to file OPT since I am graduating in summer, and as I have not received even a receipt for my GC filing, is it okay for me to apply for OPT thru my university? pontevecchio Posted February 21, 2020 Report Share Posted February 21, 2020 It is possible for you to apply. Once your AOS is approved, your OPT ends and you will use the GC or EAD to continue. Make sure you do not travel out of the country without getting either the AP or the GC. Quote Link to comment
