mitun2009
Hello, I've my H1B approved till Dec 2020 and I140 approved as well from my current employer(A). I need to apply for H4 EAD for my spouse. 1.I am planning to change to employer(B), using premium processing. If I do so, can I apply for H4 EAD as soon as I get the approved petition for B, or I need to wait until my I140 is also approved for B? 2.Does the application need hard copy of my approved H1B petition or even the pdf printout of approval is sufficient? 3. Do I need to take a lawyer's help for this EAD application or I can just fill it up myself and submit to USCIS?Any suggestions please? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
cyberlord
1. You can apply for H4-EAD using your current employer sponsored approved I-140. There is no need to wait till you change to Employer B 2. A copy of I-797 should suffice. You can check this with the attorney applying this for you. 3. You can do this by yourself. User099
1. You don't need to wait for I140fromB to apply for H4EAD, you can use the I140 from A. 2. Copy is good. 3. You can do it if you are knowledgeable enough to file on your own. If not going with an attorney is best or else you might mess it up. Quote Link to comment
