TALK
I have an approved I140 from employer A with a PD of august 2014. I was laid off by employer A in June 2017. I was hired by employer B and got H1B approved till June 2020. I filed for a transfer of I140 with employer B I just saw online that the case was denied. I don't know the reasoning yet as I have not yet received the paperwork from USCIS. what are my options about filing an extension of H1B with employer B since its due in June 2020. when I checked the status of my old I 140 with employer A online it still says it was approved. Attorney_15
Someone who is the beneficiary of any I-140 Petition that is approved for at least 180 days generally qualifies for an extension of H1B status of up to 3 years if the priority date is not current. This validity benefit, when available, is not limited to the petitioner that filed the I-140 petition. Quote Link to comment
