nkhl123 Posted February 16, 2020 Report Share Posted February 16, 2020 Hi, My wife went for H4 stamping before me and the visa officer made the case pending for H1B visa stamping for spouse not valid. Once my stamping was done she submitting the copy to the consulate. Now it is more than 2 months haven't heard back from consulate and the case status shows still in administrative processing. She tried contacting them but no help. Now what are her option to get a result for her H4 stamping application quickly. Anyone faced similar issues. Please reply. Quote Link to comment

One can contact a US Congressman's office, email the US Consulate or try suing Department of State in federal court to force them to make a decision. Such mandamus cases can get a decision from the Consulate on the visa. It does not ask the court to order an approval, just a decision. The mandamus is likely the best course of action to get a decision. Quote Link to comment
