I dint travell to India in my master's time, Recently my H1b visa got approved for 1year(jan15 to Dec 31 2020).My status change got approved from F1 to an H1b visa. Do i need to go to India for stamping which helps me with my extension? Please suggest me. Regards, Anisha Quote Link to comment
freaking_pain
Even if you go to India, you will only get visa stamped till your 797 ending date. Just traveling to India won't automatically give you any h1 extension. That is something the company you work for will apply on your behalf and get an extension from USCIS. Makes sense? gopalakrishnach
No need to go to India for stamping. Your employer will submit for H1B extension 6 months before your current H1B expiry... Quote Link to comment
User099
If you change of status is approved, you don't need to go for stamping. Stamping will not have any impact on your future extension. Quote Link to comment
