Vespern79
I went for H1B visa stamping on Jan 21st, 2020 at Hyderabad consulate, visa officer at the end of the interview asked me if I was ever out of status. He took my passport and assured me not to worry (he mentioned that they would need couple more days before approving my visa) Back in Dec 2017, my previous company XXX had layoffs and I was affected. I was on H-1B visa and my last day at XXX was 12/29/2017. I applied for H4 Change of status (I-539) on Jan 16th, 2018 with in the 60 day grace period and it was approved on 03/28/2018. I believe my company XXX withdraw my H1B petition with an effective date of 12/29/2017 Last day at XXX (H-1B) - 12/29/2017 H4 COS Receipt Date - 01/16/2018 H4 Approval Date - 03/28/2018 I changed from H4 to H1 again on June 2018. Since H4 COS is approved outside the 60 day grace period even though I filed with in the 60 day grace period. Does anyone know how long does it take for the consulate to process my application? The OPs never reply or give updates and never close the topic. Quote Link to comment
