ht1102
Hello everyone, I have an I-797B and my H1B petition(first time) was approved under consular processing. I have never gone for stamping to the foreign consulate. They have a question in the portal before moving to the screen where they show the available slots - Do you have previous H1b visa? 1. I answered no as I have an approved petition but not a visa on the passport. I hope this is correct. 2. The system first schedules the VAC appointment and then the Consulate inteview. Why is a VAC appointment required considering that my fingerprints were taken when my F-1 visa was issued in the past? Quote Link to comment
User099
1. This is correct. 2. That's common, you will have to go Fingerprinting and photo almost every time you go for a visa now. Quote Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
1. Your are correct. You must answer No. 2. Every visa interview from now onwards will require finger prints. So finger printing is done first and later visa interview. Quote Link to comment
