H1b to F1 visa interview, Financial Aid support document and chances of getting F1 Visa?

Here's my scenario, I am on 6th year of H1B and its expiring on April 2020.  I am going to convert my visa status to F1,

My wife applied for F1 stem extension and am going to india for f1 visa stamping.

Showing my personal funds would help or showing my wife's sponsorship would help in clearing f1 visa interview?

If showing personal funds is the best option, just usa bank statement is enough? Any issue i would face during interview, since i was in H1B and changing my status to F1 in the last year?
