No Receipt Number- H1B filed a week ago

Hi Friends,

H1B transfer in premium process file received by USCIS on 1/9(thursday) .... and today is 1/15(wednesday) and receipt number is still not generated.

Could you please help me  with possible options that i should pursue. I thought it takes 2-3 days to get receipt number.

Give it couple more days. If not, have your attorney or employer call USCIS.

Wait next week and by then no reply ask your employer/immigration lawyer to contact USCIS. Ask your employer whether check has been encashed.

Thank you for your response - today is 1/17(Friday) and didnt receive the receipt number yet. As you suggest above, i will check with my employer on Monday.

Hi Friends- I checked with Attorney and they said they received an email from USCIS that Dependent( Biometric) check is missing. Hence the receipt number is not generated. Attorney said they will be sending check today and receipt number will be generated in 1-2 days. so im waiting....

OK, how did the attorney miss that? Good that they did not return the package.

Its a total mistake of attorney- They should have verified whether all checks included before sending the package. That delayed process for almost 10 ( working) days + 3 days to send check , to get receipt number. Now im waiting for status.
