H1 Amendment while H4 extension is pending

My wife H4 extension is in progress and she is planning to travel to India in February n come back in March.

Can she come back to US if H4 is approved while she is in India?

Also, my employer plans to file my H1B amendment to different location. Can the amendment be filed while her H4 extension is pending?

P.S = My H1B extension is approved but visa stamping is pending.

I am assuming her current visa is expired. She will need to go for stamping with your H1 approval notice and travel back. Her extension will be abandoned once she travels out of the country.

Better to wait for her to come back and then file the amendment.

She can travel but will need visa stamping to come back if she does not have it. She will need your latest I-797 for her H-4 visa stamping.
