I did my change of status form USA from H4 to F1 in Year 2016, since then I have not been outside US. Coming Feb 2020 I am going to India for my OPT Visa stamping and coming back to USA in March 2020 and also applying for my H1B visa this April 2020 after coming back from India. Is it advisable to go for OPT Visa stamping in Feb if I am planning for my H1B Visa this year? Quote Link to comment

Its your personal choice. Your F1 visa stamping will depend on weather your husband has filed a Perm/I140. Also this year the lottery process is set to begin in March and not like previous years in April. Look into that is you are not already aware. Quote Link to comment
