Travelling after having J1 waiver approval form USCIS and before H1b petition.

Hello everyone,

I am working on J1 VISA and I have VISA stamped until April 30 2020. I have some medical emergency in my family so I want to visit to my family for two weeks in India. I am also planning to put petition for H1B VISA application form to USCIS after coming back from India.I also have J1 Waiver approval from USCIS.

In that scenario, I am wondering if I am legal to travel to India for two weeks after having J1 waiver approval form USCIS. I have valid passport and VISA stamped until April 30 2020.

I appreciate your help for your inputs.
