Rajnee Posted December 26, 2019 Report Share Posted December 26, 2019 Hi, I am on an L1A visa. The stamped visa was expired in 2018 but my I-94 is valid till Mar 2021. My spouse and son I-94 are valid till Mar 2021. We have applied for a change of status from L2 to F1 for my wife and F2 for my son in Nov 2019 which is in progress. In case if I exit the country for any reason, my I-94 expires so my dependants as well. In this case, can my wife and son continue staying in the USA based on the COS filed until the COS decision is made? or would it become an unlawful status for them from the date when I exit the country?
