VO said visa approved but website says Administrative Processing (Mumbai)

I renewed by H1B visa at the Mumbai consulate . I wasn't eligible for dropbox . This was my 5th visa renewal (been on h1b since 2006). The officer said that the visa was approved and did not mention anything about admin processing. Visa interview was short (what do you do , what is your title). He said the passport could be picked up depending upon what option I chose.

Any idea how many days is administrative processing ? I was asked to call a number and the rep there told me that it should take 7 to 10 business days but I wanted to know if someone else has experienced this before.

You need to give full details when was the interview? After every interview the status will remain on AP for some time ( a day mostly)

I also gave the interview on 10th of december and yet my status is admin processing on ceac

mine also same situation, i attended visa on Dec 27th in Hyd and its approved,

but its showing administrative process.  any one in Hyd have same situation?

You need to wait few more days as it is holiday season.

today 9th business day and i have not heard anything yet, what about others any update?

My VO interview dec 31, visa approved. but Jan 20th and still admin processing.

I am stuck with AP with no PIMS update. it has been waiting game. did anyone got update?
