Lalu359
Hello, I received an RFE upon my return to US after visa stamping earlier this year. Response to RFE was successful and new I797 were generated. My visa is valid for 3 yrs and with expiration date in 2021. If I am planning a trip to India, do I need a new visa stamp if my I797 documents were new but with same employer and duration? Nothing has changed except USCIS generating an RFE that was successfully resolved. Does this make visa invalid? Greatly appreciate any input. Quote Link to comment
User099
You should be good to use the existing visa to re-enter. If you want to be 100% sure, run it by an attorney and they will analyze your application and RFE in detail. I just say that because it just doesn't happen every day that you get an RFE for an already approved petition. Quote Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
This is a new case for me. Since new I797 was generated I guess you need to go for interview. I maybe wrong. Quote Link to comment
