Mannu13
I have a question regarding Visa stamping. Please share your inputs. I had H1B Visa stamp of Petitioner A. Employer B applied for H1B transfer and it was approved before traveling to US. I traveled to US with I797B of employer ‘B’ and unexpired visa stamp of petition ‘A’. At chicago POE, CBP officer told me that the visa stamp should be updated as per latest I797B if you are travelling for the first time on H1B. They did secondary inspection of my documents and verified with employer ‘B’ about my employment. This whole process took 3 hours and they allowed me into US and updated my I94 as per I797B of employer ‘B’. I still work for ‘B’ and i want to travel to india for Visa stamping. I never had visa stamp of ‘B’ in my passport. As i did not get updated stamp prior to US Travel, will this be treated as a bad remark during visa stamping?. Quote Link to comment
User099
You are fine, its not treated as a bad remark. You were allowed into the country and given a valid I94, so its good. Quote Link to comment
