Travel to India - waiting for green card

Hi,

I am on a H1B and my wife is on H4. We have stamping in our passports until 2021. Our 485 interview is complete and PD is Sep 2009 (EB3). My wife is planning to travel to India on H4.

1) Is it ok to travel while waiting for green-card

2) If yes - Do we need to notify USCIS with new I94 information once she is back?

1. Technically it is ok when you have stamped H-4 and want to continue using it or have AP and want to be on that status. Please understand that once you are on AP, you can not move back to visa.

2. Always need to do that for any ongoing application.
