H1B Start date after approval

Hello,

 

I'm currently working for Employer A and my transfer with Employer B is approved with Start date of Oct 30. Can I start with Employer B ( say around Nov 20) after 2 - 3 weeks of  notice with my current employer A? Is there a time restriction to start with employer B within certain days after approval/start date.

Typically you can start within 60-days from the date of approval. No issues.

If you Employer A petition is still valid you can continue working for A till Nov 20. There is no such time limit to start with new employer after approval. But dont wait too long and let Emp B know of your plans or else they might cancel the approval.

Nope time restriction. Its better to have atleast one paystub with EMP A. As per laws of EMP A, give them notice and join EMP B. I feel B will be ok for you to join after 2 to 3 weeks after Oct 30.
