vogonjeltz
I am an American citizen residing in US and currently in the process of filing for Green Cards for my parents in India. I-130 approved and in process of filing the forms online (DS-260), supporting documents etc. One of the requirements for family based immigration is to obtain the Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) for my parents. Having completed the formalities for obtaining the PCC, the local police authorities in Mumbai, India has assured my parents that the PCC will be done. Though when my father enquired about the process to obtain the PCC, if whether it will be sent via postal mail to him or sent to the Consulate, the officer was not quite clear as to what the procedure was. Does anyone with any experience know what happens next? Does my father need to go pick up the PCC from the authorities? Does the PCC get sent to my parents residence? Does the PCC get sent to the American Consulate in Mumbai India? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you. Quote Link to comment
02112018
You will have to submit PCC request in passport office along with your docs and passport of your parents. Later police department will mail you docs with the pcc in it stamped. This is what my experience when I applied for canada. Quote Link to comment
