PIMS and TAL (may be)

Hi Friends,

On Sep6,2011 myself(H-1B) and my wife(h4) had been to the visa renewal at the chennai US consulate.The VO verified all the docs and told that my visa has been issued,but along with that she told me to appear before the Indian VO at counter 31 and he asked for resume and a part of the letter of LCA and he told that it will take 4-8 wks in general to issue the passport.But my case is also under PIMS verification as the VO wrote PIMS on my sheet.Wondering whether the case will be cleared only for PIMS or other verification process too.If anybody came across similar situation,please share your experience. Thank you.
