Rit88 Posted October 20, 2019 Report Share Posted October 20, 2019 Hi, I have H1B Visa and my I94 and I797 is expiring on 28 Nov 2019,my employer has already filed extension on August 15 2019.I am in dire need of changing my job and looking for employer who can initiate my GC processing as I have 14 months left to complete 6 years of stay in USA. Can I change employer after I94 is expired (28th Nov 2019)? and while my visa extension in progress? or do I need to wait till my extension is approved. Please suggest. Quote Link to comment
User099 Posted October 24, 2019 Report Share Posted October 24, 2019 You can change even if you I94 is expired, but you will end up with Consular processing which means you will have to go out of the country to get Visa stamped and come back. Quote Link to comment
