Mohammed Ansari
Hello, I am a student ( F1-Visa) turned Worker (H1B- Speciality Occupation) visa holder. I got my H1B extension approval recently and I am planning to visit India. My F1-visa validity is was from Nov-2015 till Nov -2020, however, In 2018 October I got approved for an H1B visa and ever since then, I have been working in the United States. Since my F1 visa stamping is still valid till Nov-2015 do I need to go for a visa interview/stamping or I can travel back without getting stamping redone as my F1 visa stamping is still valid? Please advise. Edited October 13, 2019 by Mohammed Ansari Quote Link to comment
pontevecchio
Your F1 visa has no meaning once you are no longer a student. You need a H1 visa stamp to return and work in H1 status. Quote Link to comment
cyberlord
You will need a new H1B stamp on your passport Quote Link to comment
