Visa Officer said Visa Approved but Passport Delayed

Hi, 

I had my h1B interview on Sept 11, 2019 in Mumbai, India Consulate. It was straightforward and my VO said your visa is approved but it will take 1 week for the passport. I did not receive any slip. It has been 12 business days already but no sign of passport.

Visa status on CEAC website:

Sept 10 - Case Created

Sept 11- Interview and Admin Processing 

Sept 19 - case updated to  'Application Received'

Sept 24- Case updated status same

Sept 27 - Case updated status same

I am not sure why status shows 'Application Received' when they did not request any document from me. I have seen on other forums that this status is typically shown when there is Dropbox. But I didn't go through Dropbox process. I had actual Interview.

Does anyone know what is happening? Has anyone faced a similar situation?

Today my status changed to 'Administrative Processing'.

No, nothing after this update. I guess it will at least be the next day when they will update again.  I will keep you posted if anything changes.
