GyawaliS
Hi. I just got to know my H1-B has been approved till end of this year (3 months). I just started my OPT this September. Is it a good idea to ask my employer to revoke my H1-B so that I could go back to OPT because I have 3 years left on my OPT. What could be the complications for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Quote Link to comment
JoeF
It's way too late for that. The H1 will kick in in less than 2 weeks. Revocation takes longer than that. The employer would have to file (and pay for) an H1 extension with better documents. Or find a better employer. Edited September 20, 2019 by JoeF Quote Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
I guess better to revoke before Oct 1 since on Oct 1 if your H1B is not revoked you will be on H1B automatically. Quote Link to comment
sriramanil
Hi. My H1b approved only for 5 months starting from September 6th. but, i didn't receive my i797 yet from USCIS. What will be the date on i797? Is it the same date on email approval confirmation? Quote Link to comment
