manik0508
Hello, I recently moved to Canada from the US and I work remotely for the same firm as I was in the US. In the US, I am employed on a H-1B visa and get paid to a US Bank account (may not be relevant). I am an Indian passport holder and reside in Canada on a PR. Now, I know I can visit the US on the valid H-1B when I am travelling for work. However, if I want to go for tourist purposes this may prove difficult (I can always club a business visit with a tourist visit). Can I apply for a tourist visa while i continue to posses an active H-1B visa? Any help is appreciated. Apologies if it has been already asked on this form; I couldn't find any response to one other similar post so started a new one here. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
pontevecchio
H1 status does not apply when you are working abroad. Have a chat with the company Lawyer. Quote Link to comment
