alohausababy
I am thinking about getting a business credit card, I do not really intend to start a business. Business credit cards have great benefits. I am on OPT. Will they access my credit card history during H1-B interview or green card interview later? Ahir
Doesn't Business credit would also require to provide "companies" information as well? Business credit card is meant for Business, not for personal use. Quote Link to comment
alohausababy
You claim to be a sole proprietor and get a business credit card just by giving social security. If you are a citizen you claim you are a business owner whose business is turning over 0$/year. ON 12 month OPT you can own a business, if it is related to your field of study. I do not know if it can be this kind of sole- proprietor business. Can anyone clarify what kind of business one can engage in during 12-month OPT. Or guide me to some page which discusses the issue accurately and in detail. I guess my question is: I would like to own a sole proprietorship business on the side. I am officially employed by an employer full time. I do not want to declare this business. I need to only report it to IRS since it makes 0$/year. The only real purpose of this business is to get good credit card benefits. IS this legal, or would I be doing something illegal here? Edited August 23, 2019 by alohausababy Quote Link to comment
