Bharath Bittu Posted July 22, 2019 Report Share Posted July 22, 2019 (edited) Hi, I am H4 dependent and i 539 extension was filed on nov 20 2018 and approval was done on Jun 20 2019 but USCIS yet to mail my approval notice. My 240 days period after valid i94 is getting over by this month end. My spouse got his i797 H1 approval notice but i am still waiting on my h4 approval notice.Is it ok to stay in US without h4 approval notice after 240 days gets over after valid i94 ? adshah84 Posted July 26, 2019 Report Share Posted July 26, 2019 H4 does not fall into 240 days rule. 240 days rule is for H1b and that too you can not work after 240 days but you can still stay in the USA. Quote Link to comment
