Spartan_arrow Posted July 8, 2019 Report Share Posted July 8, 2019 Hi, I have applied for my stem opt before it was expired, but unfortunately my I795 was misplace without sign in my application packet. Uscis sent back the application and asked me to sign the I795 and send back the application with attached paper they forwarded to me. By the time my application received by uscis my OPT was expired. I got my I797 receipt and my H1 was filed and got picked in lottery. I have RFE on my H1B for maintenance of status( stating that to provide a document that I have been in valid non immigrant worker status when my H1 was filed) and specialty occupation. I have received my denial letter today stating that they have received my application after my initial OPT expired. I have no clue what to do now. Can I file a motion. Can I work now. Please guide me if anyone has any idea about this. My H1B is still processing. Thank you Quote Link to comment
