vikramrathode.r
Hi, I've few question regarding my H1B Portability after 6 Yrs with a Approved I-140. I've been on H1B for more than 8 yrs and have an approved I-140. Now, I would like to change my status to H-4 due to personal reasons. I would like to know if it is possible to change my status from H4 to H1-B after 1 yr or later?(I-140 is still valid) If I can, would my new H1-B will be cap exempt or would I've to go through the entire H1-B process again as it is processes at the beginning of my H1-B 6 Yr tenure. pontevecchio
Yes. You can change status to H4 and get future H1 extensions noncap till the PD is current. Quote Link to comment
