H1b consulate processing in mexico

Hi,

my visa expired oct 2018,

my i 94 expired sept 2018,

my h1b got approved with consulate processing. my question is can i go to mexico for consulate processing? or should i go to my home country india?

While filing your petition for consular processing, Attorney has the ability to select any location for you to attend visa interview.

They do that by default to your previous visa interview location.

But, you can go to any location to attend visa interview for consular processing (as long as that country allows H1B Stamping.

Also, Did you get I-797B ?

Firstly when you received a consulate processed H1b why didnt you go out of the country immediately and get the stamping done?

What status are you in from OCT 2018 till June 2019?.

In my opinion you will need to go to the home country the consulate processing is shown , no need to go to the same consulate, but can go to any consulate in that specific country.
